Who we are

IB Source is a teaching-resource platform operated by Edtrove (“we”, “us”). Contact: privacy@edtrove.com.

Who this is for

Accounts are for teachers and school staff. We do not create accounts for, or knowingly collect data from, students. Teachers distribute materials to their own students through their own tools (e.g. Google Classroom); students do not sign in here.

Information we collect

• Account: your name and email (via Google sign-in or an email magic link).
• School/licensing: your school and the subjects it’s licensed for.
• Usage: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
• Google data (only if you connect Google Classroom): see below.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Google API Services — Limited Use

If you connect Google Classroom, we request the minimum scopes needed to let you post your licensed resources into your own classes (reading your class list, creating course materials, and uploading the file we attach to your Drive).

IB Source’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we use this data only to provide the Classroom-sharing feature you invoked; we do not transfer it except to provide the feature, for security, or to comply with law; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security, or to comply with law.

How we use information

To authenticate you, enforce licensing (showing only your school’s subjects), operate and secure the service, and contact you about your account.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that host and run the platform on our behalf (cloud hosting, database/storage, email), under contract and only to operate the service — and where required by law.

Storage & security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers using encrypted transport, access controls, private file storage with short-lived signed links, and least-privilege keys.

Retention & your rights

We retain account and licensing data while your account/licence is active and as needed for legal and operational purposes, then delete or anonymise it. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion at privacy@edtrove.com.

Children

IB Source is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect their data. It is a tool for teachers.
