Details

Client Name: LEIGHTOWN SCHOOLS GROUP
Date: Jan 2018

A solution to streamline staff training at multiple campuses while minimizing disruption to staff schedules.

Why We Connected

LSG is a school group with eight campuses and a staff count of 150 in the administrative and teaching roles.  The management team was keen to minimize the time required to training new staff members and ensure all staff was aware of policy changes.

They used the traditional method of in-person conferences run by in-house trainers or external experts which was often conducted on weekends or end of school hours.

Desired Results

An online solution available to selected staff members, mobile-based with an easy means for in-house updates of content with monitoring to ensuring all eligible staff members have participated and completed training.

“Edtrove created a custom solution in four months to our exact specifications.  We are happy with the work that was done and more importantly the results we are seeing so far.”

Barbara Sharp

CEO, LSG SCHOOLS

The Steps

PHASE I : Edtrove staff had online sessions with stakeholders in the core five departments.  All training documents were collected and updated to establish best practices.

PHASE II : Edtrove learning design team remapped all documents into digital content. Video’s from key staff members were recorded on-site or via remote tools with minimal disruption to busy schedule. Assessments were built and approved by administrators with benchmarking of expected goals.

PHASE III: Once all content was created and framework was defined beta version of the custom solution was created and launched.

A Custom Solution that delivers

Beta solution was tested with a LSG pilot team that helped adjust key parameters and clarify messaging. After the testing phase an in-house training video was created to ensure engagement of staff.

A group wide launch of the solution for staff at all locations who can now participate in the training programme as per their work schedule. Incentives were offered for timely completion of training modules. Administration can view in real time if all their staff have completed their training and also review their results per subject or location cluster.

Modifications of certain policy or content is now possible on a monthly basis as feedback from the staff is collected within platform at key stages.
